Tucktec folding kayaks
What is it?
It’s a kayak that’s tough enough for rocky rivers, yet compact enough to store in your closet or the back of a small car.
Tucktec is a full-size kayak that folds up to save space at home and assembles in under 5 minutes without any additional tools. It is as durable as a hard-shell kayak since it’s made from strong HDPE plastic (the same one used in heavy-duty pipes), so you don’t need to worry about bumps, scrapes, or sharp branches - it’s built to last for years.
How does it work?
It's simple!
- Unfold the kayak.
- Lock folds in place using strong aluminum levers.
- Add the seat, grab your paddles and hit the water!

How big is it?
Unfolded: 3 meters long
Just like a regular kayak, so you’ve got plenty of space to stretch your legs and paddle with ease.
Folded: 120 x 38 x 21.6 cm
Small enough to fit in a car trunk, closet, or even under your bed.
Weight: Only 11.5 kg
Easy to carry solo, even if you're not a bodybuilder.
Load capacity recommended: 136 kg

Is it safe?
Absolutely! Tucktec kayaks are built for stability and durability. They're very hard to tip over, perfect for everyone (even for beginners!), and can handle rough conditions with ease.
And what about the fold lines?
They’re machined to the perfect depth - deep enough to fold smoothly, but not deep enough to weaken. No cracks, no weird discoloration, no “oh no” moments. They’re tested to last for thousands of folds.

Why are there different models?
We’re the official European franchise of Tucktec folding kayaks producing them right here in Lithuania. The original creators in the U.S. launched a new 2025 model with a completely revamped folding mechanism - a substantial innovation. It’s exciting but also more expensive to produce. That’s why we created the 2025 EU model. It keeps the solid, reliable folding mechanism from earlier 2024 model, but adds all the new comfort and design upgrades from 2025 model like the improved seat, footrest, skeg, and stylish finishes.

Seat cage
The seat cage is a game-changing upgrade for comfort. It gives you way better back support and stability, so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride (instead of fighting with your posture the whole time).
Improved skeg
Instead of the older rope-controlled system, we’ve added an autonomous skeg that adapts to the terrain as you paddle. That means better tracking and smoother steering without you having to do anything.
Improved footrest
We’ve replaced the old design with a strong, adjustable foot bar that locks into place in seconds. It’s sturdier, more comfortable, and way easier to set up compared with the old design. Now you can find your ideal position fast and stay steady while paddling.
New folding system
The 2025 model introduces an upgraded slot-lock system. Instead of using your muscles to push the lever, you slide it into a built-in slot that guides it into the perfect position where you lock it down. New model is as sturdy as the older one, but it’s easier to set up.
💡 Pro tip: Brand new plastic can be a little stiff at first, especially in chilly weather. For the smoothest first-time setup, we recommend assembling it indoors or in direct sunlight, and leaving it fully folded for a day.

Hull identification number (HIN)
Each kayak comes with its own Hull Identification Number (HIN). It’s like a passport or a license plate, but for your boat. It helps us recognize your specific kayak if you ever need support.
The HIN is made up of a custom code that looks like this: CYYBB-RRRRRRR
- C – Colour code
- YY – Model of the kayak
- BB – Batch number
- RRRRRRR – Your unique 7-character code (or less)
